L’Olivier is situated at the heart of Central Business District, along Telok Ayer Street. The restaurant however, is kept away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  A beautifully landscaped garden with flowing water lies right at its door step, and across the street lies Thian Hock Keng Temple, Singapore’s oldest temple, also listed as one of the “must see” heritage site.  This marvelous view from the restaurant, gives dinners a unique and pleasant aesthetic to their dining experience in this cozy French restaurant.

The smell of Rasputin is that of that of Birch trees which are abundantly found in various parts of Russia.  Rasputin is a full dinning place, offering authentic Russian food with a mix of other food from the ex-USSR period. You can probably find a good mix of Russian, Moldovan, Georgian and Ukrainian cuisine here.  The Chef originates from Moldova and brings with him 10 years of Russian cuisine experience.  On the menu, you can expect some new dishes such as Rabbit meat and Sturgeon fish.  Many spices used are new to local taste buds, though the Chef has been advised to tone down on those so as to make it generally more acceptable to local palettes.  An interesting off the cuff note, the Chef’s hobby includes Bungee jumping.  He is thrilled to be in Singapore to share his culinary experience with the Singapore market.
